Elk Robe for/represents Chief.

Elk Robe with beaded strip and quilled dangles is a copy of a chief's robe.  It is brain tanned and smoked elk hide.  All the beads are the old colors and sewn in with sinew.  In the design, the 4 circles refer to the 4 cardinal directions for protection using the blue triangles within the circles thunder and the red for lightning.  This is for the Thunder Being's protection, such as on the Red Cloud War Shirt.
